Job Description:
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer : Metal Stamping and Tooling
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Reports To: Manufacturing and Engineering Manager
Job Duties:
Design gauges, fixtures and automation and create detail drawings for all designs.
Update documents and create work instructions.
Create component:level drawings for new or existing products.
Establish manufacturing process for stamped components.
Company currently uses AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Alias for CAD.
For CAM software, they are using Edgecam and Esprit.
Job Requirements:
10+ Years of experience in Tool and Die design required.
Mechanical Engineering degree required.
Some shop experience which could include milling, grinding, lathe, wire edm, and assembly of tooling required.
Experience with metal stamping/forming tool design and knowledge of tooling manufacturing processes.
Preference will be given to candidates with design experience and knowledge of a broad range of stamping/forming concepts using 3D CAD Solid modeling software
Excellent mechanical aptitude, an understanding of electronic sensor technology and good theoretical/practical knowledge of metal forming processes.
Comfortable performing in a manufacturing environment and should have the ability to communicate and work effectively with people of differing backgrounds and responsibilities.
